Waggin' Wagon Wheaties!

Today we went to take pictures of Rosie & Laddie's last litter before the 7 pups go to their forever homes. These are Stella's newest siblings.

Olivia & Tracie came along to lend a helping hand. Their job ... VERY important ... Chief Puppy Wranglers!

It was challenging! As soon as they let go, the pups would jump ship.

It was only a matter of seconds before the puppy would jump out of the mini-wagon & climb onto Rob.

One of the staging areas was Rob's truck.

Olivia carefully placed our subject in the wagon.

Awww! So cute!

This pup is identical to Stella at that age. So sweet! She's my fave!

This is the only Wheaten with an American coat in this litter. Her 6 siblings all have Irish coats. Usually the litters are split more evenly. Mom is Irish & Dad is American. They'll all be the same light wheaten color when they're mature.

Am I supposed to pull myself?!?

Is it nap time yet?!?

Me 'n the Stella look-a-like. How cute is that itty bitty Radio Flyer wagon?!?

Posing for Rob

Olivia had her eye on this pup! She tried, unsuccessfully, to smuggle her home.

Please take me home! Please!

Did somebody say nap?!?

Passed out pile 'o pups!

Revitalized after a short nap.

Laddie always remembers me when I come to visit ...

Me with Rosie, Laddie & their 7 new puppies (Stella's parents & siblings). Stella was not happy when I got home, smelling like 9 different dogs!

Thanks to Renee & Greg for letting me borrow the mini Radio Flyer and to Cynthia & TK for the all-terrain Radio Flyer limo!

PSP-DFW-JAX-PUP-YAY!

I noticed this interesting window as I was checking out of the Renaissance Esmeralda.

I always love shooting old signs.

I knew I had photographed this car wash sign in the past but it was on film. Since it was in perfect light on the way to the airport I had to stop to shoot some iPhone pix.

I shot this pic of a neon eagle reflecting in the Admiral's Club glass elevator shaft at DFW.

Wednesday in the Desert

This morning I went out to PGA West at La Quinta Resort & Club to do some shooting prior to the start of the Humana Challenge.

There's a beautiful new trophy this year. It was very challenging to photograph. The clear glass trophy has different logos etched on all 4 sides & light refracts in every direction.

I tagged along with PGA TOUR Entertainment while they filmed the trophy in some scenic locations on the course.

Tee marker

Awesome Bob Hope golf cart.

Back at the Renaissance Esmeralda, there was a small reception for President Clinton. He was presented with a PGA TOUR golf bag embroidered with his name & signed by all of the players in the field.

There were nice fire pits around the pool area to keep guests warm during the cold desert nights.

Health Matters with President Clinton

Today the Clinton Foundation held the inaugural Health Matters: Activating Wellness in Every Generation conference at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, CA.

Jillian Michaels had an early morning workout for conference participants. It was pretty intense!

President Clinton gave the keynote address.

There were many panels throughout the day ... this one moderated by the Prez included Billie Jean King. Barbra Streisand & James Brolin were in the audience.

One of the afternoon panels included Goldie Hawn, Annika Sorenstam & Notah Begay III.

Actor Reed Alexander (apparently of iCarly fame) came out to PGA TOUR Entertainment's set to talk about his website KewlBites which helps kids live a healthier lifestyle.

Indian Wells & La Quinta Bound

The view from my seat on the way to Palm Springs.

Desert golf courses look funny from the air ... surrounded by desolation.

Dog Wood Park

Stella met lots of new friends ...

... & frolicked in Lake Bow Wow.

Nice Husky shake sequence (click the pic to enlarge)

I cropped one of Rob's Husky portraits since I thought her ears looked cool.

This Boxer runs like a Jaguar.

Sulley dries off.

Beautiful Golden Retriever

Penny goes airborne! Great shot Rob!

Stella shows Sulley she's the boss.

Then Sulley showed Stella that sand is way more fun to dig than dirt.

Stella loved Lake Bow Wow!

Jaclyn with Memphis & Chelsea with Penny & Sulley.

This Chocolate Labrador puppy bullied the sweet Golden Retriever.

Hey gimme that tennis ball! I'm a Great Dane & way bigger than you, even though I'm just a puppy.

This Labradoodle was part miniature Poodle. Even though he was really small, he fetched tennis balls nonstop.

Stella would have been in BIG trouble if she did this ...

or got as dirty as this ...

Rob & I shot over 1400 pix. After a few incredibly active hours at the park, Stella slept for 3 days straight!
