Pre-Grooming

I wanted to try to capture the black tips on Stella's fur before she gets groomed this coming weekend. She's losing more of it every day. As always, Rob did a fabulous job wrangling the pup, but it was challenging to get her to not look at the the camera.

Stella & Rob Eskimo kiss.

She looks really big in this pic!

Uncle Rob is smitten!

Hey gimme that treat!

Stella had a fun impromptu playdate with her new friend Suzy-Q, an 11-week-old Shar-Pei.

Puppy Training 101

Today was Stella's first day of puppy training with Ron from Elite Pro Dog Training. We were both exhausted afterwards. One down, three to go, but lots of practice in between.

Sunday Waffles

This morning Rob, Anna, Tyler, Britani, Renee & Greg came over for a waffle party. Matt & Ilona stopped by for coffee & fresh baked scones before they headed out of the hood.

Rob made a Stella waffle.

Anna's waffle was quick & simple, but quite good.

Britani made one for the baby in her belly.

After waffles, I photographed Britani & Annabelle ... due Nov 4th.

Tennis History

Today was the end of the longest match in tennis history. It lasted 3 days (11 hours & 5 minutes) & I don't think this record will ever be broken. John Isner (USA) defeated Nicolas Mahut (FRA) 6-4, 3-6, 6-7, 7-6, 70-68. Wimbledon doesn't have a tiebreaker in the final set & you have to win by 2 games. There were 138 games in the last set ... that's CRAZY!

The shortest set was 29 minutes & the final set was 491 minutes (over 8 hours)!!! These stats are NUTS!!!

Since I don't go to Wimbledon anymore, here's my shot of 6'9" John Isner from the 2009 US Open that ran in Sports Illustrated.

Stella in the Studio

Before the long walk I could only get Stella to stand still when she had an itch.

After the long walk, Stella's tongue didn't fit back in her mouth!

I wanted to capture the black tips on her fur before they completely disappear. It's not easy when she won't stand still.

So sweet!

Rob was in charge of posing her. Too funny!

Stella will do anything for a treat!

I think she was trying to tell me her photo session was over.

It's Here!!!

My iPhone 4 came early ... the day before the official launch! Gotta love pre-order!

New Landscaping

Having a puppy means protecting them from poisonous plants. I have toxic azaleas everywhere, but some are Invisible Fenced off. I decided to remove them from the backyard & extend the grass, so Stella would have more room to play.

We went to buy plants with Laura.

Stella looks vicious, but she's just playing with her mom. It's the first time she's seen Rosie & Laddie since moving in with me.

Now this is a real chain link fence!

The Beach After Work

We got to the beach & Stella was intrigued by the giant dogs. She saw 4 of them.

She is sooooo adorable!

Gimme the ball! Gimme the ball!

Rob took this nice tennis ball pic.

Stella met a lot of pups but went nose-to-nose with this Brittany Spaniel.

Shockingly, Stella enjoyed it when Rob rinsed her off. She had so much fun at the beach.

Stella's BFFs

Stella had a GREAT time hanging with her BFFs Luke & Hank.

She's definitely wondering what those funny furry things are, that are growing out of their butts! She keeps getting slapped in the face with them.

Stella loves chasing Hank around! She thinks she's a big dog like him!

3 Months Old

Stella got a squeaky rhino for her 3-month birthday. Yum!
