Trick-or-Treat

It was a foggy Halloween morning.

Stella didn't like the trick-or-treater in the anhinga costume!

She greeted all of the neighborhood kids in her lobster costume.

Stella liked the Puppuccino costume but I decided the heavy fleece was too warm for Halloween in Florida & returned it.

Office Halloween

We were alerted that the KinderCare kids in the Village would be trick-ortreating 4 days early. Creative & Photo Services ... at least those who chose to dress up ... Paul, Mike, Rob, Nicole, Michela, Sarah, Maggie & Kristian.

The kids always love coming to our building.

Jen wrangled the kids while Tracy shot their Halloween pix.

Pup Puzzles

I got Stella some Nina Ottosson dog puzzles. Even though she's giving me the stink-eye, she loves playing with them.

Nina Ottosson´s philosophy is that the dog has four legs and one head, and all five need activity in different ways – both physical and mental.
  • The games and toys will exercise your dog’s mind and body.
  • Can help prevent and reduce behavior problems.
  • Help prevent and reduce weight problems (I'm not sure how ... it involves a LOT of treats!).
  • The games will help strengthen your bond with your dog.
  • Prevent boredom.

Hurricane Matthew Aftermath

Mary made delicious grilled cheese & coffee on the camp stove.

Stella spots a frog in the pool. I'm not sure how she saw it through all of those leaves.

Downed trees were everywhere.

My car ... the leaf magnet.

Google & Stella were happy to go for a walk in the park.

Bold Bean coffee break

My neighbor Chris stayed at the beach & sent me this pic of the National Guard patrolling our street.

Water was bubbling up out of the manhole cover.

During the hurricane, the water almost rose to the top of my bulkhead ...

... this is how high the water is on a normal day.

Stella considered the mulch to be a lizard obstacle course. She had a blast chasing & climbing!

When we went for a walk, we spotted a fish near the sewer.

Stella LOVES all of the sticks that were blown all over the yard! She was very helpful during the big cleanup!

Hurricane Matthew is Coming!

Yikes!

The calm before the storm. I think Stella wants to go for a swim in her raincoat.

Hurricane Prep at the Farm

After lunch with Mary, Sean, John & Aurora we headed to the farm to help prep for Hurricane Matthew.

I LOVE this pic of the goats! Try to get 7 goats to all look at the camera LOL.

Hurricane Prep at the Beach

Our office windows were boarded up this morning.

Mary brought 45 bags of mulch to my house.

We put tarps down & stacked up the mulch at the 4 entrances, in hopes of slowing down potential rising water.

After getting the house prepped for the hurricane, Stella & I evacuated the beach & headed to Mary's house to ride out the storm.

Painting for a Great Cause

Lisa & I joined Dione & other dog lovers for the Paint Your Pet fundraiser.

Lisa's Fozzie & my Stella canvas before we got started.

Yummy snacks!

I painted Stella at 3 months old ... not bad for my first time.
