USA 19.5 - International 14.5

I could shoot this stuff all day long when there's a blue sky & puffy clouds.

I spent some time with this pinflag on 9 after the final group went thru.

While I was shooting this reflection, a seagull flew overhead.

Ladder Please - Part Deux! Nelson is at it again.

There was a beautiful sunset during the Closing Ceremony.

Cutter & The Buckettes

James took a nice photo of Laura, Denise & me performing in our ridiculous Saturday uniform. From the tag of our pink puffy vest ... "At Cutter & Buck we celebrate classic American style, pairing innovation with tradition, luxury with ease: all with distinguishing details and exacting craftmanship" ... YEAH, RIGHT!

First Denise (AKA "the uniform narc") sent the following email to John:
"I thought it should be noted that Caryn is not wearing the cotton candy pink puffy vest today. If others look like the Pillsbury Doughboy wearing a quilt, she should too. I knew you would want to know. Some things just need to be reported. I'm sure you will want to armed with this information when you do her review."

Then her updated email:
"Well Caryn showed up in the media center with her lovely pink vest on to match the rest of us. Wish you could see how happy we all look in our cotton candy pink quilted Pillsbury Doughboy look. James made Laura and I sit in the front of the bus this morning since we could protect them with our air bags."

Will somebody please tell me what's up with this??? Is it Sweet'n Low or Equal? Must be Sweequal! Who decided it was okay to put Sweet'n Low in a blue packet? Another Canadian trick was them trying to pass off Sugar Twin as Splenda. I was outraged!

Chris shot Kim & Zach looking at the contact sheets of the pix I shot at their house last week. I think they like them.

The BEST things about Presidents Cup

There were two little things that made this event great for me ... our parking spot & being driven in a golf cart to shoot all of the hospitality chalets. It was awesome! We got to park right next to our "cabin."

Unfortunately with all of the rain, the grass got really torn up from various traffic.

When the weather cleared up in the afternoon, the periscope peepers were everywhere.

Ladder Please!

The US Team wives applaud when Nelson brings the ladder out on cue. A crew was there to capture the moment for "Inside the PGA TOUR." The phrase "ladder please" apparently has a lot of history at the Presidents Cup.

Chris climbs up the ladder to shoot the official opening ceremony team portrait. Is Sam shooting between Chris' legs?

Now where did I leave my hat?

You put your left foot in ... you put your left foot out ...

It's not easy posing 28 golfers, a President & a Prime Minister, but it all came together.

The USA Team wives sure know how to have fun!

Where is Chris going in a sweater & tie when it's 88 degrees outside? To shoot golf, of course! As TOUR staff we had to wear uniforms at The Presidents Cup. None were suitable for shooting golf. Most of the ladies clothes were long sleeve shirts under long sleeve sweaters. It was unseasonally hot this week, so we were all pretty miserable in our inappropriate attire.

JAX to Montreal Via Ft Lauderdale

Even though I had to get up at 4am, travelling to Canada went very smoothly. I saved $1000 & a lot of ATL connection headaches by flying to FLL first. When I got there, I switched terminals, checked my bags, then met Mary curbside. We switched places & she went in to check her bags while I went to circle the airport. Then it was off to Lester's for breakfast. It was nice to go back to the airport with only our carryon.

I seem to be obsessed shooting out airplane windows lately. It was my first time flying Air Canada & it was a awesome nonstop flight. They had great monitors in the seatbacks that had a large selection of movies, TV etc. They were much better than the ones on Jet Blue.

TPC Sawgrass in Infrared

If you look closely, you can see the clubhouse poking thru the trees behind 17.

I never get tired of shooting the little golfers on the tee signs.

It looks like it snowed near the range.

Still Never Been Kissed!

I shot this picture of Tiger & Mark waiting to tee off #10 with a Fuji IS-1 digital infrared camera.

The Tiffany & Co Master Engraver gets the go-ahead to start.

I don't know what happens if he slips.

Despite our ad campaign, the trophy never made it to Tiger's lips.

The 18th tee & gallery in infrared.

FedExCup ... one word, no spaces, capital F, E & C.

The FedExCup trophy was in a motorcade from Tiffanys to the clubhouse.

I got to ride in the FedEx truck.

The East Lake clubhouse looks nice with the TOUR logo stencilled on the grass.

Joe C shot me shooting Fred V shooting JD.

Here's Fred showing JD his picture.

I amused myself by taking a self-portrait.

The Finale!

I'm in Atlanta for THE TOUR Championship. The weather was miserable today, so it was the perfect opportunity to shoot the pavillion & merchandise areas. The ladies hats were bedazzled.

I just noticed that these bears are wearing a sweater & hat, but no pants.

I got a lot of compliments on this photo. Everyone was surprised I shot it with my F30.

When I checked into the Marriott Marquis last night (which BTW, my GPS pronounces "mar-kwiss"), I was surprised to find my photo on the key.

So ... who WILL Be first?!?

Tiger seems to think he's got a shot.

Long Way Home

The scenery was nice flying out of McCarran. We left Vegas just in time to avoid the MTV VMA madness. Luckily we didn't bump into Britney Spears or Tommy Lee!

JR kept asking the flight attendant for a sandwich. She took it pretty well.

Mini Road Trip

After our final seminar, Mary went to the airport to rent a car. Then Mary, Jana & I drove out of Vegas for a mini road trip while the boys played golf at TPC Summerlin. We found some great sights.

I love how the paint peeled differently on the front ... and back.

I found this old scale outside an antique shop.

It sure is hot out here ... 98 degrees at night ... but it's a dry heat.

Jana finds a prince.

As we're driving into Boulder City, Jana asks if that's a giant "B" or an "8" that seemed to be painted on the side of the mountain. I said, "it's a "B." She said, "why"??? I said, "because it's flat on the side." She meant why is there a "B" on the side of the mountain. I thought she was asking why I thought it was a "B" & not an "8." We had a good laugh. Then we got into town & happened upon this motel with a missing "B" on their sign. Then everything made sense. BTW - I shot this image with a Fuji IS-1 infrared digital camera that I borrowed from Brandon.

Vegas fast food. You can't visit without a quick trip to IN-N-OUT Burger.
