Busy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day To Best Dad Ever!!! I miss you so much! My dad had such a great sense of humor! Here he is wearing his Conehead mask, reading the Wall Street Journal.

Stella taught me a new trick yesterday. While sitting on the couch, she came up to me & barked quietly. I asked it she wanted to go out & opened the back door. She came back to the couch & barked again, only louder. I walked to the door & she darted out, sat next to the hose & lifted her paw. She taught me the command for, "get off your butt & squirt me with the hose already!" So smart & so funny!!!

It doesn't get any better than this!

The Long Ride Home

The drive back up to PVB is really long & boring. I was so tired! I wished I had a really long straw that would reach this coffee tanker.

Stella did really well in the car, snoozing much of the way. Unfortunately, it was a 6-hour trip since we hit really bad weather once we got to JAX. We went 10mph for the last 10 miles. Saying Stella isn't fond of windshield wipers is an understatement! She literally attacks the windshield. The wipers were on high so I had one hand on the steering wheel, one hand holding Stella's seat belt & I couldn't see a thing.

Mary's Graduation

Yesterday, Stella took her first road trip ... 5 hours in the car to S FL for Mary's graduation. She was thrilled with Mary's place ... 3 levels of stairs. She had never seen a balcony but loved it!

I think Stella likes sleepovers!

In the afternoon, we headed to the Bank Atlantic Center for Mary's graduation. She got a Master's Degree from Nova University.

This is the arena where the Florida Panthers play.

It was packed with 1200 Master & Doctorate graduates & their guests.

After the ceremony, we went to MJ & Charlie's house for a party.

Rosie holds up the back of Mary's gown, so she looks naked. Since Nova's mascot is a shark, there was a dorsal fin on the back.

Charlie made delicious garlic bread, salad & lasagne.

Then a major hail storm hit Weston while we were at MJ & Charlie's house. Golf ball size hail & 64 mph winds. Their patio furniture ended up in the pool & their canoe flew thru the neighbors fence. While it was all going on, Charlie closed the hurricane shutters. It was a CRAZY storm!
