K9s for Warriors Tour

Today I had lunch with other TOUR staff as we toured the K9s for Warriors facility in Ponte Vedra. The Warriors get to reside at Camp K9, a beautiful 17,000 sq ft facility, for 3 weeks to train with their battle buddies so they can return to civilian life. It's a great place. I love all the dog artwork!

Tonight Mary & I went to an advanced screening & discussion with Ken Burns for his latest documentary The Mayo Clinic: Faith · Hope · Science at UNF Lazzara Performance Hall.

Definitely check out the documentary. It's so interesting including interviews with patients Tom Brokaw, John McCain & the Dalai Lama. We are so fortunate to have The Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville.

And now ... what we've been waiting for ... the whole reason for our trip to NY ... Springsteen on Broadway! Luckily, months ago, Mary won the lottery for the opportunity to buy tickets for Bruce's amazing show at The Walter Kerr Theatre. I can't wait for the soundtrack album to come out on December 14th & the show on Netflix on December 16th.

Before the show we went up to the balcony to check out the view. We had great seats downstairs but there wasn't a bad seat on the house.

After the show, we went to Junior's for some famous cheesecake.

Yum! Devils Food Cheesecake.

There was a souvenir shop selling lots of Presidential memorabilia. I couldn't resist!

The staff worked hard cleaning & packing everything into storage for the winter. See you in 2019, when Catalina Beach Club celebrates 75 years!
