Safari Departure

This morning we drove Lisa, Andrea, Helaine & Richard to JFK to fly to Capetown for their African safari.

We stopped at Sherwood Diner for breakfast on the way back to Catalina.

Mary's not sure if people will think she has 7 grandkids while driving Lisa's car.

Find the dark paint spot on Grand Central Station's Main Concourse ceiling. It's a remnant from decades of air pollution & cigarette smoke, not paint. It was intentionally left during restoration as a historical record to show the grime that covered the ceiling.

Hungry Seagulls & Beach Trash Pickup

While sitting on our cabana deck eating lunch, Helaine went inside for about 15 seconds & a seagull swooped in & took her cheeseburger. All the other seagulls started chasing it! It was crazy!

 

 This afternoon Mary & I picked up trash between Catalina & the jetty at Reynolds Channel.

We walked down to the jetty this afternoon.

 

 

Hannah was blowing bubbles in the cabana.

Her grandpa Bobby enjoyed the show.

Google got new steps (left) for the Embassy today. The zipper on the cover of the old steps (right) split, so Amazon replaced them. It's amazing how they are rolled up & vacuum sealed when they are shipped.
