The Presidents Cup Opening Ceremony

View of the Songdo Convensia from my hotel room before The Presidents Cup Opening Ceremony.

The stage is set ... time for the formal group photos

President Bush commended me on my bossiness tonight. He said I did a great job bossing him & the players around while arranging the formal group photos. He also told me he was used to it, since Barbara Bush bossed him around his whole life. LOL!

Captains Jay Haas & Nick Price

Korean President Park Geun-hye was present to welcome the players & fans.

Jack Nicklaus delivered the opening remarks.

So many guests followed Kenny G around to try to take selfies.

Convensia Walk-thru

Opening Ceremony walk-thru at the Songdo Convensia.

Opening Ceremony set-up

This year I had the opportunity to design the specs for the formal group photos stage building. The light gray background & risers were perfect.

Here's the schedule for today & tomorrow ...

2015 Presidents Cup Player Portraits

Today I shot portraits of all of the players & captains on the NBC set. They each had to say "gomabseubnida" (thank you) at the end of their interview. We had a phonetic sign to help with their pronunciation. Some said it better than others LOL. Here's Bubba, Jason & Phil ...

Songdo Central Park

Across the street from our hotel is the awesome Songdo Central Park.

View of the Oakwood Premier & NEAT Tower (the tallest building in Korea), from the Photo Zone in the Sun Set Cafe, in Songdo Central Park

Buildings reflecting in the lake

Mirror sculpture, sort of like the Chicago Bean (Cloud Gate).

 Shooting a self-portrait ...

... the result LOL!

Tri-Bowl Multiplex Cultural Center

The Face of Global sculpture with masks from 120 countries

The Deer Farm ...

... & Rabbit Island in Songdo Central Park

Whale sculpture

Panorama of the Incheon skyline at dusk from Songdo Central Park

Getting ready for Korean BBQ dinner. Yum! Not an electric grill like KBBQ at home.

Checking Out the Area

The 36th floor lobby at the Oakwood Premier Incheon ... one of my favorite photos.

Getting my Starbucks fix

Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea

View of the player avatar flags behind the clubhouse at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea

I just like the icons ... even if they're for the clubhouse bathrooms

There are beautiful sculptures all over the city.

Smart car decals

Latte from Lotte. I was so excited to find these iced lattes from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf at Lotte (below), a huge, awesome store across the street from our hotel. It has absolutely everything!

Annyong from Korea

Coming in for a landing in Incheon, Korea at dusk.

We checked into the beautiful Oakwood Premier Incheon.

First things first ... shower time

All of the rooms are suites with full kitchens, washer/dryers & high tech appointments including the Smartlet ... because every toilet needs a heated seat & a remote control.

Of course with so many appliances, you need to have a big binder with operating instructions ...

I love the wall outlets above the desk ... 2 electric, HDMI, USB & ethernet.

Doesn't every hotel room have a rice cooker?

Annyong ... I feel like I'm in an episode of Arrested Development!

JAX-JFK-ICN

Long but comfortable flight from JFK to Incheon International Airport, Korea ... approximately 7300 miles & 14 hours, on the amazing Airbus A380, the world's largest passenger airliner. It's almost 6,000 square feet which is 40% bigger than the next largest plane, a 747. This double-decker seats 525 to 853 people depending on the configuration.

Luckily, right before we took off, I got a quick glimpse of Stella in the kiddie pool on the Pet Paradise webcam.
