Dreary Day at Catalina

There was a lot of maintenance work being done at Catalina today.

 

Virginia Sites & Camera Heritage Museum

Google & Mary LOVE the Virginia Welcome Center at Lambsburg.

The Springsteen movie, Deliver Me From Nowhere was playing at the Buchanan Theatre. 

I love old neon, even if it isn't lit up.

Mary found the Camera Heritage Museum in Staunton, VA on Roadside America. David Schwartz gave us a great tour of his museum. There is so much great stuff. I highly recommend checking it out if you're ever in the area.

Old Dairy Queen

We passed a great old Dairy Queen in Charlotte, NC, on the way to NY.

Adam & Wendy Visit

Wendy & I had a nice time visiting Adam. Everyone was so smiley.

Kiwi Camera Service Swap Meet

Today, Kiwi Camera Service in Orlando had a free community swap meet where you could buy, sell & trade all things related to photography. We've been wanting to come here for the last 2 events but were never available. 

We took lots of stuff & were able to sell a lot of it.

Google was set up right next to our tables. He got to meet lots of new friends. 

 

It was so great to see Preston.

 

He bought some good stuff.

Google helped us sell camera bags.

There was such a variety of equipment for sale.

Wet Plate Collodian Photography by Aaron Scott was set up to shoot portraits & make prints.

They have a nice retail shop.

While overseeing the whole event, Michael was working on some repairs. He has an amazing shop. Definitely a great place to go if you need equipment repaired.

 

Satchel's Day Trip

Today we took a ride to Satchel's Pizza in Gainesville for lunch & to donate a bunch of stuff to the Repurpose Project. 

 

Google came & sat outside with us for pizza & a salad. Guess which is his favorite.

  There's always lots of colorful things to look at.

 

 

 

John's Belated Birthday Lunch

Today we went to 1810 Tacos with John & Sherry for his belated Birthday lunch.

Anna & the Kids Visit

Bundle up if you're having ice cream ... even if you're in the house.

Sharon & Andy Visit

High school friends Andy & Sharon were in Jacksonville so they came to visit & we went out for lunch at TacoLu. I think we hadn't seen each other since Amy & Howie's wedding 33 years ago.Now we're gonna see each other again next month at Nikki & Louis' wedding. It was so great to see them after so many years!

Food Truck in Boca

Helaine & I went to Cheffrey Eats food truck in Boca for dinner. We shared the September 2025 Limited Edition Burger of the Month (100 percent Angus Beef Patty, Chipotle Lime Crema Slaw, Pico de Gallo, Crunchy Tostada wrapped in a Toasted Tortilla with a large side of Queso Blanco for dipping) & Mongolian Chicken Wings.
