Brandon & Janet Visit

So great to have our besties Brandon & Janet visit for a few days!

Brandon shot a GREAT video of the baby ducks jumping off the bulkhead!

I love this pic he shot!

It inspired me to shoot with my Sony, instead of my iPhone

I think Brandon had a great time with the ducks & Stella.

Janet did puzzles with Google ...

... then Brandon tried Mary's VR.

Ducklings & Car Wash

Sally & her 10 babies exploring our backyard.

Beautiful feather detail.

All of her babies were resting under her ...

... until she stood up & took a couple of steps.

C'mon Harry! Don't do that in front of the kids!

I had a great car wash by one of the neighborhood kids.

Backyard Wildlife

There were lots of wildlife sightings in the backyard this week. I had to take out my Sony RX10IV for proper documentation.

Canada Geese & goslings

 Osprey

Mallard Duck & ducklings

At the birdhouse next door ... Downy Woodpecker

Tufted Titmouse

House Finch

Stella was on high alert, watching all of the wildlife come & go.

Third & Hopefully Last New TV Repair

This is the third time Samsung is coming to repair my new 70" TV. This time they shipped me a new replacement display. When will they replace the whole TV?!? It's obviously a lemon! It's probably gonna have to wait a week or two until it stops working again!

 Removing the old display.

Replacing the circuit board.

Kissing Stella!

Google's Birthday

I think Stella & Google are waiting for guests to arrive.

Mary & Google wore matching birthday bandanas while he gobbled up a whole dixie cup of Ben & Jerry's Pontch's Mix Peanut Butter & Pretzel Swirls doggie ice cream.

46th Annual RAP Home Tour

Today we went on the Riverside Avondale Preservation Home Tour.

We opted for the golf cart tour. Best decision ever!

2245 St. Johns Avenue. This Georgian revival house was built in approximately 1928. It's now the Law Offices of Anidjar & Levine.

3885 St. Johns Avenue. A beautiful house on a triple lot. It has an attached 2 car garage as well as an unattached 2 car garage. There's also a one bedroom guest cottage & pool on the property. This was my favorite house today.

Filthy Lulu Soap ... "You call me a bitch like it's a bad thing." LOL!

Doggy bedroom under the stairs.

Austin Healey & Ferarri

The regular kitchen with cool old pix displayed on the countertop.

The butler's kitchen.

3681 Pine Street. 1922 Craftsman style bungalow that was renovated & had an addition built on in 2015. The backyard has a beautiful covered deck & outdoor kitchen.

1816 Talbot Avenue is a community event venue. There was a lot of art displayed in the large gathering area.

1806 Edgewood Avenue South. This Mediterranean/Spanish Revival style home was built in 1926. There were 2 artists painting in the front yard.

When the wallpaper was removed, they found a hand-painted mural.

The butler's kitchen.

There was a large beautiful backyard.

1336 Challen Avenue. This one story Spanish Mission style bungalow was built in 1926. This property has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the US Department of the Interior. Every part of the house has been beautifully renovated. Definitely one of my favorites today.

2793 Lydia Street. Built in 1857, Riverside's oldest known building. There was some cool vintage stuff!

2650 Park Street. World famous American architect Addison Mizner designed & built the Sanctuary of Riverside Baptist Church (now known as Riverside Church at Park & King) in 1924.

1415 McDuff Ave South. The Sanctuary of Trinity Lutheran was constructed in 1928.
