Jones Beach

Mary & I went for a walk on the boardwalk at Jones Beach. Even though I hate the sand, I was so intrigued by the trash cans that we had to venture off our path.

It was a muddy day at the dog park! Tally was terrorized by 4 Greyhounds. There was a lot of splashing in the mud!

Superbowl Sunday

Andrew REALLY liked this t-shirt Mary & I bought for him. It says,"My mommy says I'm special." He went into all of the media trailers to show off his new wardrobe. He was so proud...and probably so was his mommy!

Superbowl Saturday

Today Canon had the Superbowl Photographers Party at Clark's Fish Camp is Jacksonville. The restaurant is like a taxidermy museum. They also happen to fry anything you can imagine, including pickles! While I was taking a picture of Kathy H, with the monkey head, the cashier told me it was really a deer's ass!

On our way to NY for the US Open, we took some detours to see some sites. This shell shaped gas station is in Winston-Salem, NC. It's the only one remaining of eight that were originally built in the late 1930s.

We're in Chicago for the NATJA conference. We spent the evening listening to a great Blues band at Blue Chicago. The Ice Bar was next door & had a nice sign.

We made a coffee table for displaying our car collection by attaching large wheels to a store fixture we bought when the Calvin Klein at Sawgrass Mills closed. Notice how happy Mary looks when she's working with power tools. Tally, on the other hand, HATES power tools. She stayed away for the most part, but occasionally tried to attack the drill.

Today we took the Cross Sound Ferry from Orient Point, NY to New London, CT to go to the Mohegan Sun Casino.

Greenport get-away

We're out in Greenport for a few weeks staying at Aunt Pauline & Uncle Ike's house. It's great to come out here for some r & r and to catch up on our US Open editing. We usually have dinner with Richie & Lisa (and anyone else who's around). Sometimes they take us on the boat & we tie up to their mooring & have a lobster dinner, or dock in Sag Harbor for a sushi dinner. As Aunt Pauline always said, "You haven't had sushi until you've had sushi with my son Richard!!!" She was right!

Theo the little pup

Since we were staying at the Greenport house we asked Richard & Lisa if they wanted us to pup sit for Theo while they went to work. We figured it would give us a chance to bond with him & take some nice photos. After all, they grow up so fast! He sure wore us out. From the pictures, you can tell we wore him out too!


Theo is so small, he gets lost in the backyard grass!
