Blogworthy? ... Yup!

I told Matt if he did something blogworthy, I'd make him famous. Whipped cream on his nose at a staff dinner is good enough for me. Now I have to work on getting this picture put on his all access credential!

Monster Board

Matt told me the view was great from the top of the Monster Board. I told him I went inside it yesterday, but I didn't go past the first level. After our chat I decided to check it out. Matt neglected to tell me that there weren't any stairs between the 3rd & 4th levels. After going so far, I wasn't turning back. I climbed the scaffolding to get to the top.

WGC-CA ... yeah, I know I'm not supposed to abbreviate.

I'm at Doral Resort & Spa for the World Golf Championships - CA Championship. After I set up my headshot studio, I walked around to shoot some ambiance. There was awesome light followed by a beautiful sunset.

I climbed inside the Monster Board & found these crates of numbers.

Sunbounce Flight

Mike is at it again! He has a lot of fun with Photoshop. That's supposed to be Jana piloting the plane.

Aqua Grill Birthday Lunch

Last Thursday John asked me if I was okay having my birthday lunch on Monday instead of Friday. I said, "sure, but why?" He smirked & said my card wasn't gonna be ready. I had no idea what that was supposed to mean. I knew I wouldn't get anymore details, so I let him slide. It was worth the wait!

Here's the photo from the inside ... Mike must have too much free time!

We had a full house. Everybody was in town.

The waiter couldn't figure out how to spell my name.

Wow ... I'm only 30! ;o)

Evanne made a smiley face with strawberries & whipped cream.

TOUR Academy Unwrapped

It was windy.

Really, really, really windy!

It's not easy shooting a flag with a point & shoot.

Being a stylist isn't such a bad thing after all.

Tina learned quickly that it's all about getting good blog photos ...

... but she really needed to practice her penmanship.

What are we doing?!?

Shooting a group photo, of course.

John, Travis & Todd are so NOT lazy! (it's an inside joke)

But apparently, I am! FYI ... I'm really NOT taking a nap!

I'm shooting this:

Mooning Mallards

I was up really early to take my mom & Hank to the airport at 5am. When I got home, I was sitting in my Florida room minding my own business when these two ducks mooned me! What's up with that? I wonder if they did it on a dare? I can hear it now ... "On the count of three ... one, two, three, moon!"

Leap Day 2008

Since we only have 7 days left with the cherry picker, Tina & I set out to do some more clubhouse pix. We couldn't get to the location we wanted to shoot from (because the brick pavers were being sealed), so we opted to try some new angles. There weren't many places we could drive our lovable 14,000 pound beast, but we managed to get some nice pix anyway.

After we finished shooting, we looked down & saw we had a visitor. John showed up & wanted a ride.

My usual self-portrait.

John was like a kid in a candy store. He wanted to play with all of the controls. Before I knew it, we soared above the trees.

Tina posed for a flattering fisheye portrait.

When I got bored, I whipped out my Lensbaby.

Yum! World Grill

Tonight my mom, Hank & I went to World Grill on John's recommendation. It was probably the the most delicious dinner I've had since coming to JAX. Owner/Chef Brett Harris is amazing!

The Tiger Eye Tuna was served with Soba Noodles & Ginger Dressing.

The House Salad was very photogenic.

When our entrees arrived, I wouldn't let anyone eat until I shot my blog photos. We had to share all three entrees since we wanted to taste everything.

The Vanilla Red Snapper was incredible. Sauteed red snapper with a Tahitian vanilla bean sauce & potato croquets.

The Breast of Duck with wild rice pancakes & cranberry corn relish was fabulous & one of the Chef's Signature Items.

The Thai Style Pork Tenderloin marinated in a sweet honey garlic sauce with butternut squash risotto was also great (& I hate butternut squash).

Even though we were very full, we managed to squeeze in two desserts ... Creme Brulee and ...

I saved the BEST for last. The Chocolate Lava Cake was to die for!

Here's a review from 2006. I can't wait to go back there.

TOUR Academy Instruction

Chris struggles to get the ladder in place.

After all that, he's too lazy to climb up. ;o)

That's better.

Travis hit four balls off the 17th tee. Three of them landed within a couple of feet of the hole & first one hit the pinflag. He did hit one in the drink, but said it was okay since the ball had Todd's initials on it.

Close-up proof. CRAZY!

Kyle & Travis watch Chris shoot Todd from a low angle.
