4th of July Weekend

Stella hates this holiday weekend! She wouldn't even look at the camera.

Besides fireworks, there were lots of storms. Thunder, lightning, fireworks & barking! It's always the hardest weekend of the year.

Drone on 17

Chris & I went out on the Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass this morning to test our new drone. The weather was perfect!

There's always a lot of grass replaced after they remove the hospitality tents from THE PLAYERS Championship.

Senior Fitness & Bowling

Tonight we went to watch Peter shoot Hank bowling. I was able to catch his strobe using the burst mode on my iPhone 6. Pretty cool!

It has been proven that there are health benefits to owning a dog. They lower blood pressure, lessen stress & anxiety, amongst other things. Peter asked if Stella could pose in some pix with Hank. Now she's really an advertising supermodel!

25 Years Later

Today I hung out with my good friend Peter Ginter, an amazing photographer from Germany. Even though I hadn't seen him in 25 years, he called me a couple of months ago to see if I could help find him active & fit seniors for a commercial shoot. Of course I immediately thought of Hank & his friends. Peter & his crew spent the week in Delray Beach, shooting all sorts of activities.

Dix Hills to JFK

Amy has every ticket stub from every concert she ever attended. Here's the stub from our first Bruce show, New Year's Eve 1980.

Stella's brother Bailey jumped in my rental car. I think he wanted to go see his sister.

I really wanted to stop by Catalina Beach Club on the way to JFK but it was raining. I decided to go to The Pizza Place for a couple of slices of Grandma's Pizza instead.

While I was in NY, I had to swing by the house where I grew up. Not much has changed since my mom sold it a couple of years ago. Of course I had to stop at Ralph's to get some Italian Ices.

Melissa at The Paramount

Tonight I went to The Paramount in Huntington, NY with Amy for the "This is M.E. Solo Tour." The only things on stage were Melissa Etheridge, a piano, a tambourine, a drum, a harmonica, 10 guitars & a bunch of lava lights. It's a small, very cool venue. I shot everything with my iPhone 6.

Melissa's bluetooth trigger on her selfie stick wasn't working so she had to improvise.

The hallways & stairwells have song lyrics written in Sharpie, artistically on the walls & ceilings.

Historic Week on the Newsstand

There were two historic covers on the newsstand this week ... Sports Illustrated featured American Pharoah winning the Belmont Stakes. It was the first Triple Crown winner in 37 years! Vanity Fair featured Caitlyn Jenner on the cover.

Caitlyn (formerly Bruce Jenner, Olympic Gold Medal decathlete) recently underwent gender transition surgery. I photographed Bruce back in the eighties, at Madison Square Garden, when he was an NBC commentator during the Milrose Games.
