Bruce on Broadway
Times Square
And now ... what we've been waiting for ... the whole reason for our trip to NY ... Springsteen on Broadway! Luckily, months ago, Mary won the lottery for the opportunity to buy tickets for Bruce's amazing show at The Walter Kerr Theatre. I can't wait for the soundtrack album to come out on December 14th & the show on Netflix on December 16th.
Before the show we went up to the balcony to check out the view. We had great seats downstairs but there wasn't a bad seat on the house.
After the show, we went to Junior's for some famous cheesecake.

There was a souvenir shop selling lots of Presidential memorabilia. I couldn't resist!

The staff worked hard cleaning & packing everything into storage for the winter. See you in 2019, when Catalina Beach Club celebrates 75 years!

Labor Day
We had beautiful weather for the last day of the season at Catalina Beach Club.
I saw Santa on the beach. He must've been really hot!

US Open Sunday
The grounds sure have changed a lot since I was last here.
There are John Zimmerman images all over site promoting the Ashe '68 VR show.
The "new" Armstrong Stadium
I wish I could've been here for the dedication of the Bud Collins US Open Media Center in 2015. I sure miss Bud ... one of my favorite people in tennis.
I was happy to see my 30’x20’ pic of Agassi & Sampras from the 2002 US Open final, still hanging in Ashe Stadium.
The Unisphere was a lot lighter than I expected.
Mary & I walked around the New York State Pavilion from the 1964-1965 World's Fair in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. The light was great & it looked awesome against the blue sky.
The Sony A9 eye tracking autofocus is crazy! It actually follows the subject's eyes ... even when shooting Serena thru the net.
Rafa's awesome Nikes celebrate his titles in 2010, 2013 & 2017.
