Day of Beauty & Caffeine

After her day of beauty at Deborah's Dog Styles, Stella had some more pampering at Starbucks in Neptune Beach.

It looks like I'll be drinking from the water bowl this time! Well if you must know, I smeared some whipped cream on the outside of the lid so I could get a good pic.

She is such a happy pup!

Wheaten Olympics

In honor of the Summer Games in London, I thought I'd post 2 pix of Stella's brother Bailey. There's no doubt that he'd win an Olympic gold medal in diving if they allowed him on team USA.

Bailey lives in NY with my friends Amy, Howie, Elyssa & Nikki. He LOVES the pool!

Weekend at Starbucks & Pup Camp K

This was exactly what I needed ... a relaxing weekend with my pup. Saturday was Stella's first time going to dog-friendly Starbucks in Neptune Beach. I got a Mocha Coconut Frappuccino. Stella got a cup of ice water & a milk bone.

The barista said giving my pup a treat made her day ... it made Stella's day too. This could be a new weekend tradition.

Afterwards we went to Pup Camp K to have a pool date with Tory. Stella jumped right in the shallow end.

After another long visit with Tory, jumping in the pool, chasing lizards & playing tug-o-war ...

... Stella passed out as soon as we got home.

Gotta Love Having Food Trucks at Work

It's another summertime Friday & time for a food truck by the media center. This week we had On The Fly.

The Firecracker Seared Ahi Tuna was served over cilantro wasabi napa cabbage slaw with pickled ginger. It was amazing!

We also had Braised Pulled Pork Tacos topped with On The Fly slaw, fresh avocado & fried onion straws.

Renee, Greg & I spent the day driving around JAX, Neptune & Atlantic Beaches. I couldn't resist taking pix at the retro Seahorse Oceanfront Inn.

Strawberries & Cream

Today was "Breakfast at Wimbledon" at my house. This was NOT a waffle party! Even though waffles were served (with strawberries & fresh whipped cream), there was no design competition. Seven of us & two dogs scattered around the family room, ate & watched Federer vs Murray.

Unfortunately, I didn't take many pictures. I'm bummed I didn't shoot Renee & Greg dressed in Wimbledon whites. I didn't even shoot the strawberries & cream

Anna made Wildflower Honey Drizzled Manchego Cheese with Walnuts & Cranberry Almond Biscotti. It was both yummy & photo-worthy!

Last Weekend in June at Club K

When Tyler opened the refrigerator at Club K he said, "is anybody else the least bit disturbed by this?!?" I think he was startled. It was priceless! Doesn't everybody have one of Justin's smoking/drinking Elmo balloons in their fridge?

Stella said, "they've got GREAT lizards here!"

We got to meet Kim & Ron, the lucky husband & wife team who are on a year-long road trip, spreading doughnut cheer. This 1960 Flxible Starliner sure is a beaut!

Tropical Storm Debby

When I got to the office this morning, I sat in my car waiting for the rain to let up.

There has been a CRAZY amount of rain. TPC Sawgrass got 25 inches. That's NUTS!
