We checked out of the cabin at Lakepoint & headed to Chewacla State Park in Auburn, AL
Our stone cottage was one of 6 built in the 1930's the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). They have all been
renovated & feature hardwood floors, stone
fireplaces, new bathrooms, modern kitchens & TVs.
We were so happy when the Governor of Alabama announced State Parks would allow dogs in the cabins for hurricane evacuees.
On the way back from our hike, Google wanted to be carried across the footbridge.
