Johnny Mac & the funny interns
Tonight I helped Chris shoot the new interns. I did headshots & he shot the group & reception. At the end of the shoot Stacey, Mary Ann, & Kelsey had a good time imitating Abby. When I got home, while editing for the US Open (tennis) previews, I noticed that I had a shot of John McEnroe also imitating Abby. Too Funny!

Tally strikes a pose
When I saw Tally walk by this big Alphalam, I ran to get a camera. I asked her to pose next to it & even though she's camera shy, she obliged.

Akeelah & the Bee
Tonight I went to see the movie Akeelah & the Bee with Evanne, compliments of Starbucks. Since I had 4 tickets, we were originally gonna have the first annual "Girls Night Out," but Jana's in Europe & Deborah wasn't available. It was GREAT! I highly recommend seeing this first (of hopefully many) movie from Starbucks Entertainment.

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous.
Actually, who are you not to be?

Mary's early birthday gift
I was pretty happy when Mary said she'd open one of her birthday gifts tonight (2 days early). After all, she didn't know what it was, but heard cryptic horror stories from me as I spent weeks working on this project. It started as a simple idea & blossomed into my worst craft nightmare. In the end, it turned out pretty nice.

puppies came to visit!
Today Lois' sister Debbie stopped by my office on the way to Ft Lauderdale, so I could meet the remaining four Australian Shepherd puppies. I was so excited I forgot to take any pictures. I just got in the car & let them crawl all over me. Evanne & John came outside to meet them as well. It was a lot of fun. Here are some photos Mary took of the pups last week.

Volkswagens at the Beach
Today I stumbled across a gathering of Volkswagen enthusiasts on Jax Beach. It was the EVCs & Westies with their roofs popped that caught my eye, but I found some real beauties when I poked around. There were a bunch of splitties and bus pickup trucks. It was pretty cool.

a ballboy faints!
Thirty seconds before going live on TV, a ball boy in the middle of the background fainted & caused quite a commotion. So much preparation went into this & they couldn't possibily miss ringing the bell! The NASDAQ Stock Market was opened for trading remotely from the NASDAQ-100 Open. It was the fifth time in NASDAQ history that the prestigious NASDAQ Stock Market, the largest U.S. electronic stock market, was opened for trading away from the NASDAQ MarketSite in New York City. This also marks the first time in history that the NASDAQ Stock Market was opened from a Sporting Event.

It sure is nice that there is no upcharge for the leather seats & metallic silver paint on this Mercedes McLaren SLR. It can be yours for a mere $455,750!

The Nexus Hair Salon was located in the Mercedes tent, so Mary got "fluffed".

the dreaded notice
Last night we flew back to South Florida to shoot the last 5 days of the Nasdaq-100 Open. When I got home, I was greeted with the dreaded notice from the property managers telling me I had to pressure clean the driveway & sidewalk...or else! Since I LOVE pressure cleaning, I guess I didn't dread it too much...the timing was just a little bad. The daytime schedule at tennis was lame, so I decided to dive right into the driveway job. I was able to amuse myself by "cleaning" this note into the dirt, only for the purpose of a blog photo.
